Here are pictures of the props I made for my chicken story time. I used Irene Duquette's Cool Chicken pattern, Yvonne Boucher's Rooster pattern in her Farmyard Finger Puppets' series, and an egg using a pattern from Crafting Traditions magazine. I made a couple of changes to Yvonne's pattern: I didn't join the rounds. Instead, I used a stitch marker. I crocheted the comb directly to the puppet's head as opposed to sewing on a separate piece.

Ok, now you did it! Because of your terrific blog (I love the finger puppets!!!), I'll be starting mine too! You did a great job both crocheting and doing your blog. And congrats on the grandbaby!!! Aren't grandkids the best?? I have 13 of them, and I love each and every one of them so very much. I think they're our rewards for surviving raising our kids. Keep up the great work! I only hope my blog looks half as neat as yours does!
Thanks, Barb. I like to crochet and thought I'd share my journey with the world. Abby is my niece. Though she's very special. SHe's the first in the family. My first niece, my parents' first grandchild.
